The alternate sprites are only found on the CD. They are part of the bonus content.

Aw shucks...........as I believe you say over there.

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years, 2 months ago #96

Few updates. Added realistic smoke mod (that I believe still works with 1.4), Randy's new blood mod, and a couple other link updates etc. Everything should be current, but if you see any issues let me know.

Can you add the Courier & Mini Map mod to your list. It too has been updated.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

Little Powell: So how is it going with the mod list. It looks almost complete. Let me know when your finished so I can make the adjustments on my website.

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years, 2 months ago #100

I think it is complete, but if you have any more you want me to add today just let me know.

Okee Dokee. (It's painful isn't it?)

I've made changes to my website to reflect the changes here.

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years, 1 month ago #102

Added the maps, lighter version of the smoke mod, and Garniers icons.

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years ago #103

For those of us (like me) who are technologically challenged, can anyone give a specific list of steps to download and install Reb Bugler's mods? When I try it asks me a series of questions that I don't have answers for.

Thanks

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years ago #104

Dear Little Powell

I enclose a list of modifications which I made that I have converted over to install packages so that it will be easier for new players of SOWgb to install without the need to have any archive program installed.

Here is the List Sir...

# Alternate Explosions and Sounds.exe
# Blood Mod.exe
# Complete Nulled Sounds.exe
# Death of Your Commander.exe
# Gatling Gun Mod.exe This is version 0.01a alpha at the moment. It won't give you any CTD's, it only means I have things I have to tinker with it to get it up to speed, and it definately not meant to be historically correct. I always wanted to do this mod, but I never had the time until now, and I only released it to get feedback.
# Historical Scenarios with All Black Troops.exe
# Latest Historical Scenarios.exe
# Main Scenarios with Audio Introduction.exe
# Musket Smoke FPS Boost.exe
# New Artillery Sounds.exe
# North and South Intro.exe
# Robert Shaw 54th NSD Stock OOBs.exe
# Robert Shaw 54th TC2M CMP3.0 Black Troop OOBs.exe
# Take on NSD Team Fictional OOB's.exe
# Voice Commands.exe
# Scourge of War Historical Scenario Cheat Maps.7z I will keep this file as is because it is just too large for me to upload again.
# Gettysburg Main Scenario Menu with Audio Edition2.rar I will most likely keep it as a rar because of the size of the file.

That is it for now Mister Powell.

Best Regards
Michael Slaunwhite.

It's best to post that question in the thread for that particular mod. With most mods, it's basically just a matter of downloading the mod, unzipping it to your mods folder, then going into the game and enabling it in your Modifications menu.

Re: Released Mod Threads 5 years ago #108

Dear Little Powell.

Here is another download I forgot to add to the list...

# Beginner OOB.exe

[gist]

Type: Fictional
Purpose:This OOB will give new people who just purchased
the game a place to start without having to
feel flustered with large numbers of troops
to command.

UNION
-----
Choose "Brig Gen William G Temple Beginner"
as your commander.

CONFEDERATE
-----------
Choose "Brig Gen Francis P Travis Beginner"

OOB Name: OOB_SB_Beginner
Troop Compliment for Both Sides
-------------------------------
1 Calvry Unit (300 Men)
1 Regiment (300 Men)
1 12pd Napoleon (80 Rounds)
1 3in Oridance (80 Rounds)

Note: I have also changed the weapon
stats to offset your smaller numbers.

Note: If other Modders out there lend me permission, I could start creating install packages of their mods (as long as they are small enough for me to upload).

Best Regards
Michael Slaunwhite

Hi LP,

I was wondering if it would it be possible to get my Road to Wagram napoleonic conversion on the list of mods? I know it doesnt stick with the game theme so no worries if not .

Re: Released Mod Threads 4 years, 10 months ago #112

Does the Mods work with the Demo?I think i must have the full Version to activate some Mods,or?

And comes all Mods in the Mod Folder from gettysburg?,or have some Mods other Folder?

All mods go in the mods folder, yes. You can install every single one into your game but many are incompatible with each other and cannot be ACTIVATED at the same time. To activate a mod, go into the MODIFICATIONS screen from the game entry screen and then click the mod name on the left hand panel until a yellow box highlights to its left. That indicates the mod is active.

With the name then highlighted, use the up and down arows at the left lower area of the screen to shift the activated mod up or down in the list of other activated mods (note: not inactive ones - where they are has no effect). This tells the game which mod to load last and so gives it priority.

To find out which mods you prefer just read through them all in this thread and make your own decision or ask a specific question about one if its not clear to you what it does.

The USCT (United States Colored Troops) mod was issued with the Olustee map and scenario and as far as I'm aware is historic. I personally have never got it to work, suspecting its bugged.

If you play online you will find that most groups have a set of mods they use for their gaming group and if you don't have these activated your game setup will crash you out of the online play, so for MP tread carefully on which mods you have activated.
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.
