Portraits updated for next expansion due out early this year

Revised Infantry Brigade Assault Formations
Artillery Brigade Force Move Command
Withdraw, JustRun--split button

All Rebel and Union Regimental Flags re-designed and in HD (High Detail).

Bugles and Flags v10 - 21 August 2012

Updated to be compatible with patch 1.5, including commander portraits for the next expansion.
Bugle calls are now significantly muted for more ambient effects.
Edited hold form formations narrowing the distance between rows.
New Division Assault Formations.
Smaller map icons for better alignment clarity.
Numerous fixes and minor upgrades.
Splash screens now represent all expansions.

Bugles and Flags v09 - 21 March 2012

Complete redesign of all flags. The flying carpets are replaced with newer, more cloth-like models. Also, performance should be much improved by condensing the graphics files from about 30 down to 4...kinda like texture packing.

Toolbar - New upper level commands for moving troops, all officers now can order formations and move entire Corps and Armies.

Completely compatible with patch 1.4 to 1.5...

Previous Post - September 2011

v08 Additions:
Default Keyboard layout added to Menu Options.
The command justrun, Ajustrun is available to move engaged units in and out of action.
New division level formations featuring division lines made up of brigade lines, rather than brigade double lines.
Detach and Guard command added to infantry toolbars.
Upgraded, more realistic courier message screen.
Edited unitattributes file to add more visibility options to be used with night to day designs.
Miscellaneous toolbar adjustments for more efficient play and convenience.

Scenarios

PC08-July3-Pipe Creek - Rebel Breakthrough (U-Army)

Originally designed for the PC map pack, PC06, 'Rebel Breakthrough' was scraped for not following the storyline of afternoon battles and CSA arrival times. Planned on more variants, but this one variant should be a fun challenge for most folks. With the design of this scenario, I wanted to give the Yankee folks some solid offensive action, since all the Union scenarios within the PC pack are defensive in nature.
Depending on time and feedback requests, I may design a Rebel version of this scenario...just ask.
BTW, you must have the PC map pack to play this scenario as designed.

This set of scenarios is the same as the release of 'Gettysburg 3Days Carryover', but with DRF included.
GB3D1-July1-Gettysburg Day One (C-Army) SR10 DRF
GB3D2-July2-Gettysburg Day Two (C-Army) SR10 DRF
GB3D2B-July2-Gb Day2 - Wolf Hill Line (C-Army) SR10 DRF
GB3D3-July3-Gettysburg Day Three (C-Army) SR10 DRF
GB3D3B-July3-Gb Day3 - Wolf Hill Line (C-Army) SR10 DRF

HAAAAAA....Oh Man!

Question: Will this still work with the basic 1.3, or do you require to have PCL installed?

Yes, 1.3 patch required. And, only the one scenario requires PCL.

Apologies, had to fix some weather lines that nullified fallback orders by restricting visibility at the end of scenarios GB3D1 and GB3D2, otherwise the beginning of the next scenarios will have troops engaged.

Link is updated.

Dang it, put those weather lines in after testing, thought they would add to the ambiance of the ending day...then saw my error after publishing.

Thanks for version 08 RebBugler . I have used “Bugles and flags” since the first version came out and I couldn’t play the game without it now. An outstanding mod!

Copy to Mods/B&F v08/Maps folder, overwrite previous.

Are you saying the courier messages announcing the arrival of troops are not working?

If you're referring to the new courier screen, guess this is a preference thing. I feel the new courier screen message is more realistic, and not looking 150 years old.

Do I need to disable BF07 or do you use both 07 and 08 together?

Never use both together...08 is like a patch, get rid of 07 and all previous versions down thru 01.
Good question, Thanks for playing

Hey Jolly, many thanks again...and again. Without your terrain mod my promo screenshots wouldn't be near as impressive.

I had an odd issue where it seemed like Yankee troops would not fire. I'm not sure if it's due to 08 or not, but it's really the only thing I changed other than a courier message mod.

Too scared to provide fire from the rebel flank and rear? Damn, that must be a level of fear I cannot fathom!

Know I'm a little late to the party, but AWESOME AWESOME mod. I love the flags and toolbar, and don't know what I'd do without the bloodbath mod:)

I just installed this mod and I really love the flags. They're amazing! However I was wondering if there was a way to make the mod work with the original toolbar?

Yeah I'm like you Armchair. Don't get me wrong, the toolbar is excellent and most people never play without it, but I'm more of a keyboard control guy.. The less buttons on the screen, the better.

The flags however are must have.

I really like the toolbar part of this mod, but for some reason enabling it causes the behavior of the ai to change in my sandbox games and in some of the scenarios. It also can't be used by the host in a multiplayer game if all of the clients do not have it enabled as well.

Is there any way you can break just the toolbar portion of this out from the rest of the mod so that it could be used in these other situations and without these side effects?

Re: Bugles and Flags v08 1 year, 4 months ago #25

Is this mod compatible with the new 1.4 patch?

Most things should work normally. I'll be checking, but mainly I'll get any probs through you guys.
I do know portraits needs to be addressed, but should not affect gameplay.

Thanks...

A MP Toolbar is available, can also be used with sandbox.

Reb - looking forward to your latest work, those flags are a must have.

Question which battles do you thinks had the greatest amount of different confederates flags used in any single engagement?

Thanks,
