We'll all be looking forward to the maps. I'm sure suggestions will be coming in. I'd like to see the area around the current GB battlefield maps expanded in all directions to give us some more historical "what-ifs".

Indeed. I'd like to be able to challenge old Sherman. He wouldn't have a chance to March Thru Georgia if I got a hold of him...

Thanks for the Kind words, And you guys know me as a western map maker from the old game, and I can promise you right now, that the west will get its due. I am up for suggestions, However, since this will be somewhat different from the "Old Game" I may need to start on a small map to get my feet wet. I am sitting on a ton of new terrain graphics and plan to use em well. Get ready, Me and the old crew, Davinci and Crikey, are about to open this thing up. Many humble thanks to Norb and the whole NSD gang for this opportunity. This is one of the greatest recognitions that a fan/modder can get. I am open to suggestions, PM any to me, at anytime.

I am sure those maps will surface from the home office, and if not, one of us three.

A good brigade-sized action map would be Belmont. Another one could be Ball's Bluff.

No one is more jacked up than I am to see others being allowed to access current map creation! I welcome the fresh blood to the process, being in a virtual map-making vacuum for almost 4 years is a long time... Bedbug tried his best to be there for me, but he wisely stayed away from the heavy-duty map-making.

this was a great move by Norb, and I'm excited to see what comes out of it.

Nice ideas. We'll also have to explore the idea of SR1 Maps. In other words, maps made to 1:1 scale. Of course they'll have to be small battle fields but there are plenty of those. New Market would be a good one.

For small actions with SR1, how about the defense of the Wrightsville bridge? Of course, you have to go back to the better water graphics TC2M had (which I'd like to see in SOWGB).

This is a good solution to the release the map editing thing, and sure would'nt mind if they could come with some sort of campaign map, fictional or historical, for SP or MP or both, (if it's even possible?).

i know already i'll be happy with any maps these gentlemen will create.

Good one. The Wrightsville bridge would be cool to model.

There are also lots of small cavalry battles that would work great in 1:1. Especially during the Gettysburg campaign. An Aldie, Middleburg, and Upperville pack would be cool.

a valley campaign.. err.. campaign game would be nice. Many small battlefields with carryover scenarios and a set of small, quick pickup MP game maps as a bonus.

Hopefully this would be easy given all the work already done, but how about releasing the CWBR and TC2M maps? I would guess that those maps won't interfere with any future release since they are already out and it would greatly expand the map library.
