Like I don't have enough on my plate as it is but hey I'm a moron so that says it all, and I'm a sucker for pure punishment.

I have a online game called Frost & Flames, and I have just finished reading through their entire license, and what I can do, and what I cannot do. Everything looks good to go for me to edit as long as I don't take credit for the game engine.

The mechanics is really well done, and all I have to do is get into the code, and change a few things since most of the game can be left alone, and make it into a kick arse Scourge of War game.

I'm going to take this one slow because I want to get this right on the money.

If any of you wish to offer hints & tips, you can get a taste of the game itself before I start editing creating a new version at faf.justallinone.com since the main code will be left alone. All I will be changing in the game are the graphics, names, and a nice banner to advertise Scourge of War Gettysburg itself...you never can get too much advertising!

I have been searching for something that could be changed into something to resemble Scourge of War in some fashion but not too much out there to choose from, and in most cases the author just wont' allow you to edit the game itself to suit your needs.

This online game has what I think I need to really do some good for Scourge of War - Gettysburg, and attract a few new people to this fine, excellent ACW Game.

Here is the progress so far...

I have the internals done to the point that people can start taking part, but I can't do this until I get the okay from NSD since it's totally inspired by there game, and some pictures have been taken from SOWgb (website) which I still have to get the okay for.

There are other things I have to get correct, and I am sure you will find things from FAF popping up from time to time so please don't let that spoil your enjoyment of this game because in my opinion is one of the better online engines which takes into account several aspects of waging war.

I am now working on the guide to help those who wish to read it over.

I can't release this until I get the okay from Norb himself.

and anything else that needs working on.

READ the guide, because this is one heck of a good war based engine which suits this genre rather well, well any genre will do, you just have to edit the config, and small parts of the game.

Forgive me if this offends you or anyone else but you need to change the background of that page. It's really difficult to read the text.

Well I think I am almost done. All I think I need now is to finish off the Guide. I have been working on this since hell what day am I in? I'm not kidding, okay it's been over 17 hours without a food break so I'm going to have something to munch on, and go to bed, it's now 6:16am(I thrive on this, just some good old personal punishment).

The game is up, and running. Just remember I haven't finished the Guide so things won't be polished.

Well, I've signed up for both the forum and for the game, but I ain't got the 'activation emails' yet for either of them. Is this intended to provide a campaign layer to SOW-Gettysburg, with the battles being fought out in SOW-G or is this intended as a parallel strategic type ACW campaign??

Okay I'll check this out, and see what is going on here.

This game can be run any way you wish it to be run. You could in theory create a clan naming it the Union Army, and everyone who chooses the Union as it's side could join that clan, or go on his own as if he is living in a small town with his own reserve army.

This game has it all...it's up to you. I would suggest that someone take charge, and create a clan called the Union Army, and whoever wishes to join the rank of the union army (clan) with allot of benefits included.

I have a clan which I think of it my own, small home clan army which I will build over time. I am part of the Union, but I could have sympathies for the South which could make me a thorn in the union armies side...

Play the game as you see fit, this game does it all.

Sorry guys for the change over. There happens to be one side effect to changing this I'm afraid, and that is you have to register.

I am very sorry for the problem guys but I had to switch it from Scourge of War - Gettysburg to America's Civilwar so there would not be any conflicts with this game.

Again I am very sorry, and this is hopefully going to be the last time I need to do this.

So for those who have had a problem with the email (I still have no idea why it isn't working for a select few), you can try registering once more but with a different email.

Okay here is what I am now doing...

I am creating two Clans. One for The Union Army, and the Confederate Army. Once I do this I will temporarily be in command of both until I receive two applicants to take over the command of these armies. All players who wish to make their own can still do so. All your resources, and everything you can possibly do in a clan is there for you to do to strengthen either side.

You have to see what this game is actually capable of doing, it's simply a brilliant game.

Also I am starting to reedit the Game guide due to conflicts which hopefully I will have done sometime today, or into early morning but I will get it done.

Remember the first two who wish to take command of those two primary clans/Armies can send me a message, and I will place them in command (you have to be registered members of the game)

Like I have also mentioned if you don't wish to join the Union army, or the Confederate Army clans you don't have too, you can still create your own militias.
