Waterloo Dev Diary PDF Print E-mail

Waterloo is going full speed! We have not updated anything, as all of our resources are committed to finishing it for the anniversary next year. I know there are great Waterloo games out there already, some written by really great teams. But we figured that our engine is a little different, and enough people have asked, so we're giving Waterloo the Scourge of War treatment.

I wanted to write a little about some of the new team additions this year. We had a major problem, we are a team of Civil War buffs, but we are crazy about historical accuracy. So our first step was to get a Waterloo team on board. A group of people that were as crazy about Waterloo as we are about the ACW. We found them, and they all live in Italy :)

A Midsummer Update PDF Print E-mail

It's been awhile since our last screenshot or update so here's a midsummer status update for everyone.

There's been a ton of work going on behind the scenes lately, some of which includes, finishing and testing the Quatre Bras and Wavre maps, texture and shading improvements, as well as, AI, pathing, and square formation improvements/testing.

Included below is our post of a unit in square formation.

If that hasn't fixed your appetite, I've included a couple other screenshots which you may have missed if you don't follow us on Facebook or Twitter. These were posted about a month ago for the anniversaries of the Battles of Waterloo, Ligny, and Wavre. If you're not already following us on Facebook and Twitter I recommend you do so.

A Midnight Snack PDF Print E-mail

The last couple weeks have been busy, both with development and the real world. The team has had at least two members out of their home countries and I myself have been in the middle of a move. With that said, I don’t want to leave you high and dry without anything to wet your lips so here you go, a nice little midnight (depending on your time zone) snack.  This photo shows off some of the work being done on the shaders and some early work at hopefully bringing shadows into the game.

Note: As the screenshot states, this is still in development and not final which means what you see here is not the final product.
