You are to be congratulated for your hard work. Your toolbar has probably done more to keep the game alive than anything else. You can get around the problem you mentioned by using several smaller grids side by side instead of a large one. I think 7x3 is the largest you can use. That is how the KS toolbar is constructed. It works at all resolutions.

This is just another example of the inadequacy of MyGui.

Update, version 3.2:

Context Menus adjusted for high resolutions
- This includes most Destination, Target and Stand menus. Other menus will be upgraded upon request and eventually as I try to keep this 'two toolbar' situation minimized in these early, developmental stage, upgrades.

Formation and text additions and edits
- New 'Wide' Prussian formation: This provides the player with a broader battle front with the division formation comprised of line rather than double line formations.
- IDS text adjustments and additions
- Unique Prussion 'split battalion' skirmish formation added:

I think this latest version is borked. Battalions no longer default move to column of divisions and ordering column of divisions sends the unit into march column.

Also, is there some deeper info on what some of the commands do?

Make sure this mod is in the lowest priority in modifications. It sounds like another mod that uses Drills or Unitcommon is canceling out the default column by divisions formations.

Otherwise, has anyone else experienced this issue with the 3.2 update?

Yes I'm having a some odd behaviour.

I can't get my infantry units into road column at all. Previously I would select a location, hit the column button and use roads. Now if I do that they just March along in coloumn of divisions. I noticed that there is a road column button inside infantry formations, but when I select that they still march in CODs.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug?

Thanks

A reminder, once the enemy is within 300 yards or so, road march will not work. This was designed as so to keep the AI from road marching straight into engagements.

Your issue with battalions moving on the road in COD can be remedied by selecting 'road column' (additional formations button) as the destination formation and then selecting 'road march'. When you do this battalions will move to the nearest road in road column formations (column by fours) and remain in that formation once on the road till the destination is reached.

Since COD is the default 'Walk' formation, 'Road Column' must be applied manually by the player or scripted specifically in scenarios using this mod.

Hmmm seems that doesnt work for me. I select the Division leader, chose a destination by clicking the command map, then road coloum from the additional formations menu, then use roads. They still for up in COD

Hmm ok its working now, thanks for the clarification

Reb,
My heartfelt thanks for your work on the Hi-Rez toolbar for SOWWL. I've reinstalled the game and I'm now actually enjoying playing it again because of your generous contribution. I know the devs think the new UI is great but for me personally I've repeatedly tried using it in the game and I must say I still prefer the old one. The expanded toolbar looks great on my 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor. My only wish is that you would do another one for Gettysburg!

Much Appreciated!

Bugles & Flags is the Gettysburg version Toolbar, if this is what you're referring to.

I've used the new UI enough that going back to GB is cumbersome playing now. Especially the destination hold click and drag for direction, gotta have it now.

I would like to add my congratulations for the tool bar. I use it on 1366 by 768 and the movable section is quite compressed at that but I guess I will just have to learn what each entry represents.

A small point I have noted, which I suppose might be obviously not possible, but I find the game crashed if try to send a detachment into a building. It could be annoying if I do it by mistake when moving nearer a building.

Regards

Mike
