Resupply: design feature or bug?
<t>I just played the Greene Alone scenario and had all my regiments TCed. I was a little surprised to find that when they were TCed they wouldn't resupply. The unit was standing right next to the wagon, and every time I hit the resupply button nothing happened. When I un-TCed the unit and hit resupp...

Greene Alone
<t>This is by far and away my favorite scenario so far. I suffered 800 casualties, inflicted over 1800, and still suffered a defeat because I couldn't hold the ground. All my regiments eventually routed except for one that fought to its last round, resupplied and then went back into the fray.<br/> <...

Re:Help for Heth Scenario
<t>Hancock, I look forward to reading the AAR on this! It sounds like a great plan, but the fly in the ointment is the low quality of Davis's brigade. Most of his men rout if you just say boo to them.<br/> <br/> Surrender seems to be triggered reasonably reliably in a unit that takes massive casualt...

Re:Much better
I definitely need to install the beta patch obviously. I could make a cup of coffee (in fact, I've done it) while waiting for some of these battles to load. Takes me back to the beginning of the TC2M days when I was still playing with 1Gb or RAM. Good time, good times. . .

Re:What is the keyboard command for court martial?
<t>Heh, this game does a pretty damn fine job at simulating command confusion (or maybe that's just me): it is one of the things that really got me hooked when I first played TC2M. The confusion was, however, "plausible" rather than with some games where it is just the result of bad design or a limi...

What is the keyboard command for court martial?
<t>I was playing the Rhodes division scenario today and was taking time to set up my forces a lot more effectively than I did when I played it the first time. Or at least I was trying to do so. O'Neal's brigade was giving me no end of trouble. First, all the regiments seemed to be detached from one ...

Some Thoughts About Scripted Behavior
<t>I know there have been a couple of threads looking at some issues with scripted behavior in the scenarios, but as they have been scenario-specific I was thinking there might be some value in philosophizing more generally about scripting. After all, if Norb and the team are thinking about future e...

Re:Unusually quick victory
I think I have the opposite bug: where I lose massive numbers of points and the games never seem to end.
Oh, wait. That's just because I'm not very good.

Re:Help for Heth Scenario
<t>The secret to this scenario? Play it enough times and eventually the other two brigades show up! I finally got the major victory (over 5000 points) on this one. Didn't do as well as Critzian because I used Pettigrew (but not Brockenbrough). Also made some mistakes and lost a few guns unnecessaril...

Re:Scenario frustration or how can get to play all scenarios?
<t>Isn't it possible to have some kind of compromise here in terms of the availability of scenarios? My personal preference is for the carryovers. It is one of the things that makes this game innovative in comparison with others. It also adds a whole different level of challenge where you go back to...
