I feel like an idiot. I installed the 1.2 patch, and then the mods worked. I assumed the patch I installed previously was the most recent one.

It's Version 1.102.
I am pretty sure that Powell's mods should work with the latest patch, since he is one of the game designers,...

Installed the patch. same problem. I tried registering with my anti virus and firewall off, still got the "Can't talk to registratiion server" message. I don't know what else to do. I am beginning to feel I made a bad mistake in buying the game.
