Re: I have to speak my mind concerning Multiplayer, and the use of language.
<t>I still think the exclusive use of couriers is the answer to the problem. The thing is, most gamers are straight jacketed to separate "speak servers" in which they have to constantly talk to each other. <br/> <br/> This takes some of the point away from 19th century simulations. If you want to ta...

If you read my whole post I mentioned the AI has control over your units UNLESS given direct orders.

Re: Couriers and "Take Command" Changes (Suggestions)
<r>I think what I envision by eliminating the take command option is a system where the ai controls all your units, unless you give an individual regiment or brigade orders, in which case it must follow those orders (unless encountering the enemy) until it has reached it's destination, in which case...

<t>Use the "Z" key. It simulates the "Perspective Lens" aspect of either a telescope or Binos. It has two increments.<br/> <br/> <br/> Actually, I did try that and it didnt seem helpful. I'll have to fiddle around with it again. I was thinking along the lines of a binoculars view similar to the peri...

Re: Couriers and "Take Command" Changes (Suggestions)
How about a set of binoculars when playing in HITS mode? You press a hotkey and up come the binoculars allowing you to see a unit farther away. This would make HITS more bearable for those who don't like having the sighting distance limited.

Re: American Rev. War mod anywhere??
<t>A Rev War Mod would work really great for multiplayer, considering most battles of the period involved no more than 15,000 men per side, which is typical of current multiplayer games. Saratoga actually had around 5,000 per side engaged. Of course, small arms would be dramatically reduced in accur...

Couriers and "Take Command" Changes (Suggestions)
<t>If it hasn't been broached before, I think a couple major change's that need to be done with this great game(along with the command menu) is with couriers and the whole take command function.<br/> <br/> If couriers are utilized, a limit on the number you can use would be more realistic. For examp...

Re: Multiplayer games for beginners or "advanced" beginners?
<t>Being new to the forum, and new to multiplay, I would think a fine solution would be to implement couriers (assuming their not already implemented in regular multiplayer?) so the only griping will come from another general 25 yards or less. <br/> <br/> It would be nice to have a multiplayer exper...
