Re: Recommended MODS

<t>Most mods don't work with the default scenarios, that's hard coded I'm afraid. The game keeps a set of data files hidden that are used for the scenarios in the Waterloo battles section that appears on the main menu, these override, conflict with, or just plain stop any mods you have activated. Ho...

Does anyone have any tips, guides or documentation that would be helpful for new users? For example, after installing, you get the map folders containing all the necessary files to co...

Re: Campaign Options for Wavre

<t>I opened the map .bmp in a graphics program and selected by color, RGB 115,115,115.<br/> <br/> This will select all parts of the image of these exact RGB values, and this corresponds to the roads that are listed in the .csv file with this greyscale value. To make that guide image I posted above, ...

Re: Campaign Options for Wavre

105 is the cobblestone road (green) - this is also used for some town roads etc.

115 is the rest (red)

Re: Campaign Options for Wavre

<t>I'm of the opinion movement speeds, especially for infantry, are a bit fast in general when it comes to Waterloo and Wavre. You can approach this in 2 ways I suppose, a generic speed decrease for all formations which you could do via the drills.csv file. You would also have slower units on QB and...

<t>Looking at the battlescript for WL 10 scenario, the Grouchy event (which always fires) has 5 possible outcomes.<br/> <br/> He arrives at 15:30, 16:30, 16:35, 17:30, or not at all...<br/> <br/> That's an 80% chance of him turning up!!!<br/> <br/> If he does arrive, its Vandamme's, Pajol's and Exel...

Re: Error in the standard Ligny French Army scenario

<t>Base/Layout/Media/Language/OOBNames.xml<br/> <br/> ...is what you are looking for, it defines all the names displayed in game based on their ID's in the OOB files. All the names for all the units from all OOBs including DLC's are here (1 exception is Ney in the QB DLC I think, this is elsewhere i...
