FYI, I deleted from the the Mod everything but the grog bar.

I disabled the context menu and it's even worse. I cannot engage in any kind of combat I choose, only the AI has that capacity. What a mess.

Actually, Paolo over at Slitherine suggested I do just what you recommend, downloading successive versions of Waterloo.
