Something that I forgot to mention in the article is that it's harder to get rid of people in this model if they are causing problems. But, the longest they would then be around is 1 game. If they were volunteers, they would be easy to kick off of the team. With shares of the games, it's easy to outline what you expect from them and what they need to do to earn their full share. Right now we are a team that knows each other very well, so it's not a big issue. We all trust each other to do our jobs and I seriously doubt that we'll have any issues. If we did have issues, I would then have to discuss it with my lead, and we would have to decide whether or not to approach the offender or not. If I'm the problem, we're all screwed. If my lead (JohnD) is the problem, we're all screwed. If anyone else was the problem, we would be screwed, but not completely.
You just have to make sure that you are protected in every way possible. At MMG one member of our team really let me down. They had a lot of responsibility, but chose to just focus on a small part of their job and completely blow off the rest. We had other team members fill in, but this type of thing can happen, even among trusted individuals, so you must prepare.
