Sandbox Mode - Only Getting Artillery Battalion?

I am still heavily engaged in the scenarios at the moment - I am currently on the Jackson: Third Time's a Charm scenario, and it's lovely!

But, I've tried to do a couple of sandbox games. I choose one of the battlefields, select confederates, and then click "Corps." I was working under the assumption this would pit a confederate and union corps against one another. When my game loads, I have control of Robert E Lee. Huzzah! This is going to be great... oh wait... I only have an artillery battalion under my command!? And what's that approaching me from the distance? An entire union corps? Crap... I fast forwarded the game for several minutes and I never got any reinforcements. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong when setting the game up? :huh:

This isn't a bug. If you select an army commander (Lee) the game will randomly assign one of his corps (in the OOB structure an artillery battalion is the equivalent of a corps) as his force in a corps vs. corps battle.

Noticed exactly the same type of behavior yesterday! We were the only troops on the field...no infantry on our side at all.

You should use the first OOB in the list when setting up a sandbox game. That has infantry and artillery mixed in the divisions.

the problem is; is playing corp vs. corps, which seemed kind of funky to me too.
