I lost both my desktop and laptop within two days. They weren’t related per se (malware, virus, trojan, etc…) but I was witless for a couple days. After a lot of poking under the hood, I located the issues. I had a bad RAM stick in the laptop, and a seized HDD. I have them in RAID 0, and couldn’t get the other running. Ergo…data toast. Luckily I had backed up most of my files to an external a few days before, but I have had A LOT of programs, settings, updates, blah blah blah to recover. Needless to say, my weekend was shot. Computer issues bite!
