It's probably going to be trust at first, then we'll see how things go. If it becomes a major problem, I'll look into solutions.

Good day,

This is officially my first post.

I love the idea of multi-player. This is something I think could help increase the multi-player gaming for us all...

We create an Army Details Section on this website. In this section it will have a union side and a confederate side. On each side there will be an army command layout. Ranging from Army command all the way down to brigade command. In each slot one of us will be placed. This will be the army command structure for the multi-player battle to come. The kicker is. After the battle each person can be demoted or promoted. Depending on their score from the previous battle. Therefore Division Commanders rely on Brigade commanders, Corps commanders rely on division commanders, and the army commander relies on his corps commanders. Each person can only be promoted if a superior is demoted. ie. A divison commander scored a 114, yet one of his three brigades scored 186 points, while the others all routed with minus scores. If the army commander choses so. The two commanders would switch positions for the next battle. The army commander would not be safe either. The losing Army commander may be demoted after a vote from all commanders in the army. The replacing Corps commander will be awarded his position based off of their previous battle score... etc

I think this could create a little better competitive gaming for us all. And will make sure that you are always paying attention to details and communicating with one another. :)

That would certainly be a cool ladder and a great placeholder until we can do it automatically on our own server.

When we are getting ready to launch a game, will we be able to private chat with each teammate, so we can develop a strategy before the game starts? Is there a PM system in the lobby? There has never been anyone on when I check it out.

Right now there is no PM system in the lobby. I believe that I might be able to create one, but probably not for this release.

The only thing is in this scenario, if it is like TC2M, and you want to TC your troops, then your brigadier generals won't be able to play.

And if someone doesn't show up to the game, then what?

You can't demote someone because they haven't done their homework!

But, I like the ladder idea, like norb!

I assure you that we have considered all possibilities and have handled them in the game.

I agree Norb and Hancock... The ladder idea is probably going to work out better.

What I wrote before was a basic outline of something Ive always wanted to be involved in for multiplayer. I guess where I was coming from, was that each player controls certain command levels. Levels they earn in battle. Basically a ladder structure.

As for if someone doesnt show. If you are a division commander and one of your brigade commanders doesnt show. Then I guess you've got a little more responsibilty on the field. Seems fairly realsitic to me :) I see your point tho...

I think this is something we can all discuss and come to an agreement on

Speaking of that Battle HQ Norb, I downloaded it some time back and for the life of me could not get it to work. Any tips on how to control the little buggar?
