Re:Another MP hosting problem
Hi everyone, hopefully this will be a better explanation of the situation i find myself in.
I'm having problems hosting. I can join games, but whenever i try and host im the only one who can get into the staging room. I can start the game, but, its single player.
Ive attached three jpegs of my current router settings,my ipv4 settings, and a jpeg of portforward confimring port 31791 is open for UDP protocol.
Yet I still cant host.
Heres the guide I followed for my router to set up a static IP and forward a port.
http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... efault.htm
There were some suggestions that I had only opened up an internal port and that my external port wasnt open for 31791.
I'm lost..completely
Any help appreciated.

Re:Another MP hosting problem
Based on what I see, you need to have someone try to direct connect to you. Your IP is 86.42.195.233, so that is what people need to type in to connect to you. So you select host, then after you see the staging room, you have someone else try to connect to you at that IP.

Hi Norb,
Myself and Talon tried that quite a few times, no luck.

This sounds really familiar from a different time and game. By chance are you running AVG Internet security or ESET smart security....if so MAYBE that is your problem. have had your problem in the past when running ether of those products. Could join and play but could not host despite indication that all ports needed were open..

Re:Another MP hosting problem
have ESET Nod32, but I deactivated it and my firewall before trying to host.
Re:Another MP hosting problem
What error is the person that is trying to connect get?
Re:Another MP hosting problem
Computer said 'No'..
Seriously though, i have no idea. Do you think would it be possible to arrange to meet someone from NorbSoft online someday and try and get them to join?

Re:Another MP hosting problem
That all looks pretty clear! not!
Look guys this is far to advanced for ordinary people we are not programers.
Now can you please tell us why before the new patch myself and a few other members were able to host and connect without problem, now we cant, we need some easy answer's guys, other wise MP will be dead to many people.

There will always be a counter argument!
