Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.
Superb - are they Perry Minatures again? I loved the rebs you did. Do you paint in oils or acrylics?
Just noticed your avatar too - he's amazing - any more WW1 blokes? Here's some Wargames Foundry ones I did a few years ago. I also had a large 15mm Minifigs WW1 army - we recreate Gallipoli at a show once and won 2nd best in show!
Forgot to say in my last post how much I liked you pictures.
Some really nice details, Regimental Markings, Tartan Lining to the Officers Trench coat and where did you get the 28mm Scale Poppy!
What make where the 15mm Gallipoli figures. I find it difficult to get good results with some 15mm scale figures. Although I have been painting Flames of War lately and have been very impressed with the detail and quality of their castings.
Thanks - coming from someone that does such brilliant paint jobs thats very nice to hear. The Officers trench coat is based on the famous burberry lining pattern. I painted these in enamels years ago - I'd love to try acrylics one day but have no room or time to paint - hence getting in 3d model making. Takes up less room!
The poppy is made by squashing a piece of milliput and glueing to a hair from an old paint brush.
I have to say your WW1 figures are lovely - real character that you have brought out with your painting. I had a look at the renegade site and there's some nice sculpts there.
I've seen the flames of war stuff too - I quite fancy taking that up especailly now the have 1940s stuff. One day maybe.
The 15mm figures were by Minifigs - not sure if they do them anymore. It was about 20 years ago I did them. I had to convert figures for the Aussies - I used early war Brits. Some I left as they were and some I added the Airfix aussie slouch hat too them. Also I used Boer British for the Turks. And Airix boats! Wish I had some photos.
Anyway keep up the good work and hope to see more work here. There's a couple of other gamers who post pictures like Gunfreak.
