Hi guys.
I just finished having a great connect using Teamspeak. I am very impressed that it even worked with dialup. I had the good fortune to speak to a gentleman by the name of Baylor, and he was very helpful, and very nice.
He spoke, while I typed (I don't have a mic).
I am very impressed that I was able to hear what he actually was saying. Teamspeak has come a long way since I used it back (I think) in 2002. I could be wrong on the date because I use to use teamspeak while playing Silent Hunter 2 & Destroyer Command so it could be earlier than 2002.
Anyway for those who do have a dialup connection, it works good considering the connection.
I would like to get into a full game to see what the effects are for a dialup connection. I am thinking that it should only effect me on my end for speed, not the other players.
If anyone is interested in a full game (more than 2 players) to give it a test drive, I'm up for it.
Please let me know.

Re:Teamspeak & Dialup!
As the folks on this site know quite well, I am essentially computer illiterate (for example, still trying to figure out why the v.4 of Flags won't work for me). However, I am not sure how well dial-up will work for multi-player. Perhaps some one on this list can address that question.

I did have a Multi-player game back about a month or so ago, and the person who hosted (thanks for taking the time btw) didn't experience any lag, I on the other hand did experience a lag in issuing orders, but nothing that would make me want to give up on the mp aspect of the game.
Now if I was playing an action fps shooter style game, then yes it would be a real bother, and pointless to even try.
I do know that many people only have so much time to give to playing MP games, and having them use that time to see how dialup would perform is a bit much to ask for.
If anyone is interested, please let me know.
Cheers...

As I mentioned on TeamSpeak, be sure to come into the multi-player lobby about 1800 EDT. There usually is a group of folks that are wanting to play MP.Kerflumoxed wrote:Hi.As the folks on this site know quite well, I am essentially computer illiterate (for example, still trying to figure out why the v.4 of Flags won't work for me). Thanks Kerflumoxed.
No way I can play tonight. I have a raging headache, and I hitting the sack. From the time here, I already missed it.
