Polls
Perhaps this post is inappropriate but I would like to ask if it is possible to post a poll asking the many members of this forum why they have not become "Multi-Players" by offering various choices such as: 1) Internet Connection is Dial-Up, 2) etc.
Intent is to determine why there are not more folks playing the MP and what can be done to encourage more MP participation.
Thanks for the consideration.

My reason is because of Dialup.

Re:Polls
I try to play a game every evening, and I'm happy if we can get 3 vs 3, but I'm surprised there aren't dozens of people playing multi-player games every night.

Re:Polls
I play MP as often as humanly possible. My biggest problem is much of the time I have the slowest comp in the group. Periodically, this will slow down or stop the game completely. I will drop out so as to allow the rest of the group to continue. On the other hand I can host smaller games of up to six people. Go figure. So, I'm there.
I also can't figure out why more people don't play MP. It is fantastic.
My ha' penny of thought...

Most people only post when they have issues and need support, many people play without any problems at all.

Re:Polls
I usually am online once a week, in the evenings Eastern US Time. I usually see the same group of people online everytime. I am also surprised that the group has not grown.
I have limited time to play and MP usually takes at least an hour before we start playing. We are usually waiting for "one more player" or "so and so to come back online to join", etc. Then the game finally starts and there is the inevitable argument over "use a bigger OOB", "Use a smaller OOB", etc. Then when THAT gets settled, the game starts and then crashes for some reason. And we start the whole process over again.
I love MP, but do not always have the patients or time required to go through that process.
It is the nature of the beast, I suppose. The game requires that all players enter the game at the same time AND us "Civil War folk" are usually a little mental! LOL.
Just my 2 cents....

Re:Polls
Playing MP is something I want to do very much, and will get to it eventually. However, sitting indoors to play a game of any kind, is not exactly at the top of my list of things to do with my free time during the warm months. I suspect during the winter months, there may be more MP players.
I look forward to adding to the roster of MP players, though it may not be as soon as some of you would like.
