Do You Have What it Takes?

Post by Neal »

Do you have what it takes to REALLY command a unit in SOW?

New generals will command their own personalized brigades, with stats chosen by you, as a newly minted brigade/battery/cavalry commander (yes, you pick!). Choose Union or Confederate and then face the questions and tests of leadership as your unit is hurled into battle against cunning foes. Command well and you may earn a division, a corps, or someday the army. Participate in a sprawling campaign across the Eastern theatre of the Civil War as your glorious men are marched north and south to defeat their foes in MP combat.

Weekly battles with flexible times means that most anyone can play in this immersive campaign, either regularly or sporadically, as your time permits.

And don't forget, for the bold, we are also working on a campaign in the Western Theater, which will be co-op (as the Union, this time, much to my chagrin, as you can well imagine) and courier by brigade. This will be an educational/adjusting campaign to help those of us who haven't played courier by brigade much learn how to use it.

The Eastern Theater will be courier by side, and I believe both with have limited range from your commander (100 yds or so). Full discussion may be seen on the forums in the link Neal posted above.

You may opt for either campaign or both, and may choose whatever units suit you (cavalry in one, infantry in the other, and all other combinations are allowed and welcomed). We're filling the ranks as we speak, so stop by and take a look, it should be good fun.
