I have been away for awhile because of work but was really pleased to see the new patch on my return. Excellent stuff all round - well done guys.
But I have noticed in many of my sandbox games in which I always play as the Confederacy I have noticed that the Federal Forces almost always charge my troops at every opportunity. It seems no matter how well I place them, a juggernaut of yankee regiments charge into my boys and break them.
I have also noticed in the after game check of their forces that they always seem to have "Elite" troops. As anyone else noticed this or is it just me.
Also looking to get back into MP but I see that most of the guys still playing over at Garniers site are US based and so the time difference makes it a bit awkward for us Brits. Any European players out there?
Thanks in Advance
Ramseur

Re: Sandbox and Melee
Can you provide a save game of this? I have seen other reports of this in the Auto Charge thread and the only thing we adjusted in that area is that regiments will charge automatically within 25 yards of an enemy regiment, even if they are TC'd. Before they would only charge if un-TC'd.

I'll do my own testing on this as well, but were going to need to start getting some saved games to build a case if there is indeed a bug.

Yeah Have to agree with Ramseur, since the recent updates it seems to be harder to whoop the union troops
Mind you the union guns have been beefed up quite abit and the souths guns seem to be weak compared to a few patches ago.
We need our guns beefed up abit
Yeah Im in Uk could do with some MP with Uk people, the time difference between us and the USA is too great

Re: Sandbox and Melee
There is quite a crop of folks overseas (if they don't mind me speaking up for them): Kester, Hays, Shaka, Blackbeard, gids, Cleburne, and several others my mind isn't coming up with (apologies to all). I'd recommend just popping on the TS server when you can and seeing who is around. Otherwise, try to hop on when you know the US crowd plays in the evenings and chat with some of the other folks outside the US to see when they're on. There were, at least, several German fellows who were playing together fairly regularly, and obviously much closer to your time/schedule.
