Hello all,
I cant seem to find a setting which allows you to reduce the volume or even switch off the soundeffects. I find i very disturbing to voicechat with a friend with that constant loud cannon/musket fire.
Any help would be appreciated

Doesn't unchecking the 'Play Map Sounds' on the 2nd page of the Options screen kill the sound?I cant seem to find a setting which allows you to reduce the volume or even switch off the soundeffects.

No, just the cicadas and birds and such. Combat sounds are set.

The first files does what you are asking, the second file nulls out all the sounds.
later.
