Gettysburg 3Days in 7Hours

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Hi, I get to the end of day 1 with Union at Cemetary Hill- there are no breastworks on Culps Hill on day 2- I am having touble getting to the historic sites on day 2- any help please- thanks
Thanks for using this thread, thus keeping info intact.

Sorry, no breastworks with the gburg map, but a good thought for future expansions.

Regarding setting up for the 2nd day historically, redirect Longstreet's corps and Anderson early on, across the map. Right now they are scripted to roadmarch, but this takes way too long to setup south, where you want them. If you micromanage their route, some roads, some direct, you should have plenty of time to recreate the echelon attack.

Eventually I may recreate each day historically to save players all that movement time. Bug me from time to time, for I am involved in many projects...constantly. I do have a carryover positioning design ready for release, but I'm holding off til after Pipe Creek Line debuts and has run it's course of popularity.

As historically, coming in with Hood early the 2nd day, you'll get a courier message. ;)

Glad you like the mod, there's a lot more where that came from if you guys keep showing your appreciation. :)

Hi, I needed to ask is there any to improve this mod graphics- Cemetary Hill and Culp's Hill to show breastworks and better graphics- I am still having impossible time trying to get day 2 to resemble history- I never get close to round top or Culps Hill fighting doesn't happen- nor do I see the fishhook or Picket's Charge then day 3 is way off - it would be nice if you could have 3 seperate mods for each dayso then everything is in place historicly :cheer: Could we get a mod for Latimer's barrage and artillery duel with Union - it was very bloody and violent :woohoo:

Sure, this can be done. But it is a pretty large project, and it would have to be objective based, so the objectives reflect historic outcomes.

The only way to get the breastworks in would be go back to the small maps, this would be an entirely different project, but is possible.

Time will tell, I'm getting snowed under with other stuff right now...but I'm listening...and always planning. ;)

Hi, I would prefer a day 2 and day 3 mod if possible with historical set ups- that would make me happy- I think this mod is the best because you get to see all the participants and get a much clearer picture of the actual battle- I was playing If Practible mod- and I noticed the superb grahics of Cemetary Hill- anyways I appreciate it lots - making this fun and interesting ;)

Welcome. Glad to hear you're enjoying the game.

I'm not sure if there's a way to play the Union side but RebBugler would know. If not he might hold his nose (he's a southern boy if you couldn't tell) and figure out a way. :P
