Hey , I have a question about the command to Wheel left \ Right .
I can no-longer use this command if my units are in the fighting formation , but the command does work if I switch them back to the basic line formation .
So, did this change with the latest patch, has it always been this way, or have I messed up my game again ?
Also, this only applies to the fighting formation, the commands work while in column, etc…
Thanks,
davinci

Re: Question - Wheel Left \ Right
I'm a little confused with your question.
What exactly is a fighting formation?
You can wheel regiments no matter what formation they are in, even when engaged.
Wheeling brigades, you have to wheel the brigade commander, then hit a formation and the units will reform to the direction the brigade commander is facing.

Ok, My Bad!I'm a little confused with your question.
What exactly is a fighting formation?
Let me explain this in a different way.
If my regiments not the Brigade Commander are in a standard line-formation I can wheel them left and right.
But, if my regiments are in a fighting formation or as you say engaged they will not wheel left or right , I have to place them back into the standard line formation to get them to wheel.
I’ll almost bet that it is something that I have done, but I wanted to make sure that this was not implemented with the latest patch, due to the fact that I don’t ever remember seeing this before.

Re: Question - Wheel Left \ Right
DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_LineFight -> CanWheel=0
Right?
Right?
Re: Question - Wheel Left \ Right
Problem Solved – the command that does this is the Column I drills file, for some reason I changed that by mistake.
The value has to be a 0 or a 1.
But, this does seem to stop the AI from wheeling also while engaged , so this might be welcomed mistake.

Thanks, ADukes - I think that we posted about the same time, after I checked the drills.csv file.DRIL_Lvl6_Inf_LineFight -> CanWheel=0
Right?
Now, I think that I'm going to leave it like this for a while to test the results out.
I have noticed that the units do suffer a little bit more casualties on the ends of the line, but it also seems to keep the AI aligned in battle, so that is good.
