Flanking fire

Post by mitra76 »

I restarted to play after some months so I don't remember well, but the flanking and rear fire is now less efficient or it is a mine impression? Also my friends in play which just started to play the game note this.

Flanking fire is not as devastating as it was for TC2M but it does have an effect. When one of your units is receiving flanking fire an icon will show up in the middle toolbar.

Not as effective as before, but if it continues......... My favorite tactic is when one of my regiments is blasting an enemy regiment, roll up one or two lone cannons and canister them.

Ah the joys of single player. You should come play with real men who use 220 yard rifles and will shoot those guns up.

No really, come play some MP with us will.

Games with 12 or 14 or 16 are incredibly fun, and tense, and bloody.

You'll control between 2000 and 4000 men, which includes up to 12 guns.

And. . . wow. . . Garniers random map generator makes ECF new every time we play it (well, almost). Tons of ambushes and flank attacks coming out of the trees unseen.

Mitra,

As far as I am aware there has been no change to flank/rear fire since the game was released. It is much different than TC2M. The bonus is not much, but there is a bonus.

There is a mod that increases the flank fire, but I don't use it because I like to play a lot of MP.

I think just the client. You can join the ts channel through Garnier's website.

Ah, so I see you've moved on to a new recruiting tool...
