Jack - I don't have the mod Installed - but he can only be replacing these two files...

1) Alpine.bmp
2) Alpine.csv

maybe this one also - probably (Alpine.dds)

Check the names of these files, and then look for two files with the same names, but with an added extension.

The added (extensions) would probably be your default files.

Or - if you have the time - take a screenshot of the files in the Base \ Maps - and I should be able to tell you which ones.

DaV,

Roger that. My investigations have led close to something similar. Going to us our modded Kansas map as a guide to see if I can at least get a "Kansas" map of some kind back in the lineup. Thanks.

Jack, I guess, you figured it out by now. In case you didn’t, here you go:

You have six KS-files in your base/maps-folder: KS.bmp, KS.lsl, KS_MM.dds, (Garnier’s map) and KS_original.bmp plus the three .bakk files (Kansas map).

1. Now just delete or rename Garnier’s files.
2. Rename the original files by deleting the “.bakk-extensions" and rename the bitmap-file “KS_original.bmp” back to “KS.bmp”.

When you have done this, the game will load the original Kansas map again instead of Garnier’s.

R,

Thanks. Had vaguely come to roughly that conclusion also. Nice to see someone besides Davinci trying to help. Thanks again.

R and DaV,

Thanks to all. That did it. Good to know as I have recovered from my wounds and will be playing more MP again for awhile.

Jack - this is a perfect time to make a Backup Copy of your maps.

From Explorer just Copy the entire Base folder into the Work \ SDK folder.

The game will not load these extra files, but you will have a backup of all the maps.

I have roughly four to six copies of the game scattered around my two Hard-Drives.

DaV,

Did that right away last night. I too have various bits of what I call the "Original Game" floating around my computers.
