I think that ends with "you must be a redneck".

Well, I've owned a few turkeys, a chevette, a pinto, a bug... Although I wanted to, I never took an axe to one.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

But I must still be considered a Redneck because I did have my new T.V sitting on top of my older t.v set. (no money for a t.v stand at the time).

Since you have owned a few Turkeys you would most likely be the best person to ask. Do Turkeys actually live up to their nasty reputations? I have been chased by geese before just wondering about Turkeys behave.

Well... the turkeys I was referring to are cars. But having lived most of my life in rural surroundings, I do know that the domesticated ones are probably the dumbest creature on earth. They will go out in a rainstorm, look up into the sky and drown themselves. The wild ones are much smarter. And yes, the tom will drive you away from the hens. He doesn't like competition.

I have heard some nasty stories about them but never placed to much stock in them personally...
Cheers.

Having been raised on a farm I've killed both domestic and wild turkey's. The domestic ones are much juicier due to the breeding they have gone through and they tend to be a bit bigger. I personally like wild turkey best. Both wild and domestic can and will defend themselves given a chance and believe me having a 25 lb bird atttack you with the spurs on it feet is intimidating.
War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.

Having been raised in the woods, swamps and river bottoms of south Georgia I have got closer to turkeys than one would imagine possible, even me. There's something about alot of animals that they know when you mean to hurt them or not. Growing up hunting and fishing was just something you did and along the way I learned to just love it hunting, fishing or not.
