What I am working on....

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

What I am working on....

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

I was doing some thinking on what I could do to give more toward Scourge of War - Gettysburg, and I decided to setup an online game dealing with hopefully America, and perhaps the Hussite war.

I do have it setup already, and working if anyone wishes to give it a try.

Well I just posted another message asking that this particular gentleman to get back to programming his Gettysburg Civilwar Variant which I am just hoping to get my hands on.

Like I have mention this game on my server is only for you guys to use. I have decided not to place this up on my website.

So far there are these types of variants...

1: The Ancient Mediterranean
2: Classic, but build anywhere
3: Classic
4: Colonial Diplomacy
5: Classic, with fleet in Rome
6: World Diplomacy IX

I will let you folks know if, and when I do finally get my hands on those other variants.

I know I'm talking to myself again. :S

I have been doing some reading on the Web Diplomacy, and you know you can take the code, and revamp it to suit your own style (all they say is that you do not claim the software is yours because of the license).

What I am trying to get at here is that NSD can do some really cool things with this by creating the first real Civilwar Diplomacy online game to hit the market.

The brain power here is incredible, and converting it to Scourge of War - Gettysburg would not be a problem what-so-ever or at least I think so (mind you they are most likely thinking on their next installment).

I have visited a site that really has taken this a step further, and has done a very nice job with it which brought me to post this...

Note: Still trying to get the variants. The Empire 1on1 is about the American Civilwar, and I have the code but like everything else I don't have the brains to get it working, so I have to wait on the others on their forum to hopefully pipe up, and tell me how to do it, or give me the complete working version...
