Americas Civilwar Online Game is now ready.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

I know I have posted this in another area (under a completely different heading), and I know this post could be subject for deletion, but I thought I would take the chance, and hope. ;)

Well it's taken me a bit to get this game edited, and working properly. The guide is complete with much more added on for you to enjoy.

Due to having conflicts with the game title (Scourge of War Gettysburg), and other bit's, and pieces the game had to be scrapped, and reworked from the ground up which unfortunately included the database of users had to be dumped meaning you will have to register once more (this will not happen again I assure you).

Note: Please make sure you type in your email properly. I have tested this with Hotmail, Gmail, and standard server email accounts, and they all work fine. If you do happen to have any problems where this is concerned, please contact me here (PM), or email me at admin(AT)justallinone(DOT)com, and as soon as I get your message I'll get on it.

Also one more thing, those who wish to take on being clan heads for the Army of the Potomac, and the Army of Northern Virginia please let me know. This way all players who wish to fight for the North, or the South can do so with maximum effort to defeat the other. The stronger the clans, the larger the battlefield, bitter spy, and political maneuvering...This online game has it all. :)

Hope to see you there.

I went to the site but didn't really get a sense for what this is. Is this some kind of online game where grand strategy is carried out in an rpg or forum like game and then battles resolved in SoWG? Or is this something completely different than that?

It's not a forum RPG at all, it's difficult to really explain what this game is until you give it a try.

I would have to say that you have come close when you wrote "GRAND STRATEGY is carried out in an rpg".
This game you have to test your skills at being a diplomat, spy, warmonger, and the list just goes on.

Believe me it's one of the easiest games to play, but also takes time to master.

I don't think we should be posting anything more here about this. This is for NSD, and not me rambling on. If you wish to talk about this game, please post all comments, and etc in the forum made for the game.

I apologize Guys, I never really meant it to go this distance, and I forgot my manners.

Thanks for letting me post here about this. Could you LOCK this so no one else could reply?

Not to worry Mike. It's called Off Topic for a reason. I for one appreciate your contributions. I love watching the way your mind works and the things you come up with. Truly unique.

Hi B.

Thanks B I appreciate it, believe me more than you know. I have been banned from other forums simply because I posted a link about something I have found interesting. If you folks were anything like those others out there I am pretty sure I would have been banned two years ago.

I know it can get a bit much with all the things I get myself into but sometimes the results are interesting, and I wish to share, and maybe help others too go head long into trying new things out, and not be afraid of failing. I normally fail 99 percent of the time, but it's that 1 percent I strive for, and when I do man it feels great. ;)

I'm was rather surprised to convert this game over was not as hard as I first thought, it's pretty configurable to match what type of RPG/MMO you wish to have.

If anyone wants this piece of software you can get it from the main menu of the game (download). This version of the game is not the modified version I am running. If you want the modified version (America's Civilwar Online) just let me know, and I'll give you the link for the file.

Next project is going to be turning this game into the Napoleonic Era...that will take a while because I have no idea about that period.

Thanks Again B, and RDBoles. :)

Here is a screen shot of what menu items there are, and it's up to you too use them to benefit your command.

Politics might just not be enough to win this game. Assign the diplomatic tasks to a clan member, or better yet send in spies to do your dirty work for you while you trade on the ACW stock market, or send out bounties on other commanders to get rid of that annoying Union, or Confederate General who just won't leave you be. Being part of a clan has immense benefits, all things consider having the extra resources such as treasury, resource sharing, and allowing your troops to immediately help out another clan member when the enemy army is approaching your position...it's all there with much much more for you to enjoy!

Now who would have thought NSD had a business back in the 1860's.

(hehehe), this is one heck of a online game.

Final Update to my missing link of a brain.

I have just finished creating a new forum (new software installed called FUDforum) to host all of the crazy minded online games I host on my personal wesbite so anyone who plays the games to have a place to hang out, and talk about...you got it the online games.

I didn't like having the games on my main website forum (for some reason it just was odd seeing it there), so this is why I did what I did. :P
