Realistic smoke mod

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

I took a big FPS hit - I tried in on the kansas map, which i normally have great FPS on because there's so little vegetation. I seemed to be pumpin out waaaayyyyyy more smoke than you guys, like a WW1 destroyer.

This was after only one or two volleys!

Yes, I think it could be cut in half and still do the job. Still a great mod though.

TheBaymonster you should consider a light or half version for the FPS hungry folks.

You dont need to change anything - just extract it, put the sub folder in the MODS folder of SOW, then activate the mod in the mod menu in SOW!#

Edit - Just noticed you mention the original scenarios - it may be different for them but can't think why. Mikesla's smoke FPS fix worked on them all as far as I know.
I think the small fps edit does work. I not too sure on Pipe Creek because I don't have the Pipe Creek addon yet (I know, I'm waiting for Christmas. I have to give the wife something to buy me that I don't already have) to test it out on.

Cheers...

Thanks, glad people like it! Sure, I could put out a reduced smoke mod, I actually have one saved on my pc, just am not on it now. I'll get it out when I'm home.

Are you still around here? Love your mod. Although the light version would suit my taste a bit better.
