I'm sure, that the link to the audio of a confederate veteran demonstrating the Rebel Yell has been here at NSD before, I think i may have posted it myself. I also posted it over at MMG....BUT, this my friends, has it beat hands down.
While perusing the Smithsonian website, I came across video, of actual confederate veterans not only performiing the Rebel Yell individually, but also at a group. I think it says that it was at a CSA reunion in the 30's. It's good stuff, especially as the last old vet (an officer during the war) not only gives his rendetion of the southern battle cry, but loses himself for a moment and urges his unseen troops to "get after 'em boys, give 'em hell!!

Yep........like many a Yankee Veteran testified, "hearing that coming out from behind a line of tree's.....made us believe the Devil himself was coming for us".....
