Hi folks.
Does anyone know if there are any maps available that show the start position of units in each scenario?
It would be helpful to know where your units are BEFORE you play a battle so you can think of a plan and issue orders, especially at the start of the scenario.
I find sorting out my units in corp-sized battles, such as in the Burnside across the bridge scenario, a real headache.
The map within the game is not much help in these larger battles.
I'm not looking for updated positions once a scenario is underway, just where the start off points are before the clock starts ticking.
Regards, CJ

First the photo, then I will explain on how to do it in a reply.
Please correct me guys if I am wrong here. In most of these scenarios there are triggers to have to contend with. Some of these triggers will immediately place troops on the map at certain times, or special events happen in the game so not all of the troops will show up, BUT the troops showing are the troops at the beginning of the scenario as you can see in the screenshot.
OH one more thing, this if for NSD, I have placed the NoAI=1, and the ai is still active, and doing their thing.

Re: Maps question
Okay how do you do this?
Pretty easy but allot of work is involved if you are wanting to create a full scenario swatch.
Okay first things first, get your hands on the edit called "Latest Historical Scenarios" which can be found here: http://www.justallinone.com/index.php?o ... 25&cid=254
2nd: Unzip the contents of the zip into your <drive letter>:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\Mods folder.
3rd: Go to your <drive letter>:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg\Work folder.
4th: You will see a file called "SOWgb.ini.
5th: Open it with your text editor. Once it's open scroll down to the very bottom. You will see...
[Debug]
MPLog=1
place these extra lines underneath it
DbgLvl=1
NoAI=1
AlphaOmega=1
It will look like this when you are ready to save it...
[Debug]
MPLog=1
DbgLvl=1
NoAI=1
AlphaOmega=1
6: Save the file.
7: Start Scourge of War Gettysburg.
8: Go to modifications, and make sure that you activate the "Latest Historical Scenarios" Mod.
9: Go back to the Main Menu, select Single player, then select "User Scenarios".
10: Select the scenario you wish to do this for, and write down the name of the scenario, if you don't you may just forget which is my curse in life. Short term is is shot.
11: Start the scenario, once the scenario starts press "P" for Pause.
12: Bring up the map
13: Press "F4" to take a screenshot.
14: Exit the game.
15: Rename the screenshot to match the scenario so you can look at it later.
If you wish to compile this info for others, I would suggest that you convert the BMP's over into jpegs because they are smaller.
Later.
