Favorite map?

Post by Gunfreak »

Mine is Fox's Gap, I actualy tried to make this map in minature, but never go to get into it all the way, love the topaphrogy, so many hills, so much woods, so many fences and stone walls. So many tactiacal options.

Yeah, Fox's is a really fun map. I played a huge sandbox battle on it a while ago when I was testing a new feature, both sides ended up fighting between two mountain passes. So if one side advanced forward to attack, they were moving down into a valley... not exactly a good place to be.

I've always had a soft spot for East Cavarly Field though. Designing scenarios for that battle was both fun and challenging, plus it's good ground to fight on with the rolling hills, streams, woods, fences, walls, etc.

Mine is now the Olustee by Crikey, and the Gettysburg Map is a very strong second map.

Crampton's Gap.
Good one.. The real life present day Cramptons Gap area looks almost exactly as it did in 1862. Mostly farms, open fields, and of course the mountain... The original stone wall that you defend/attack in the scenarios is still there.

When I first fired up the map after returning from my trip back in October, I felt like I was back there again.. :)

Yes, Crampton's Gap for me too, for SOWGB. Gettysburg and/or Alpine for Nap Mod.
