We played a great Courier & Hits MP game of 'find the federals' last night. After over an hour we found them, and CoB4thTEXAS got our brigades placed just so to annihilate them. The valley of death springs to mind.
At this point, the game froze ...
So, I would like to play out the saved game in SP. Have just had one go and it was not much fun as my fellow generals sat there and wouldn't play unless I lured enemy troops onto their brigades.
My question is: Can I play the saved game in SP, but this time as a different commander? In this case as AP Hill (played to a T last night by CoB4thTEXAS). I could then direct all my side's troops, including, if my couriers can get to them, the brigade poised, hidden from view, over a ridge on the other side of the valley!
Thanks in advance for any solutions.

OK - just played it again and this time I gave proper MTG-style courier orders to my fellow generals and battery commanders (ie I was sending orders to my peers, not subordinates). The generals stayed where they were, but their regiments went into action!!!Have just had one go and it was not much fun as my fellow generals sat there and wouldn't play unless I lured enemy troops onto their brigades.
I was also able to order the batteries around. All very odd but interesting. If any of the other generals from my game last night fancy a go I've got the saved game...

Interesting Jeff... I wonder if that's intentional. To be honest, however, I would rather play actual MP than play on SP from a saved MP game, no matter how exciting it was when it ended.
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.
