I just purchased this game last week and I am trying to run it with some of the mods that are out there and it keeps crashing to desktop when I press spacebar to begin the game in sandbox mode. I am trying to play on the Alpine map. Here is my log:

Any help would be greatly apppreciated.

Also, I have noticed a couple of mentions to a beta patch that brings the game beyond the 1.4 of the official patch, but I cannot find any path or link to it. Part of me wonders if that is my problem here.

It's quite possible for two mods to conflict and not work together.

What you can do is disable all of the mods, and then enable them one at a time (without disabling those that worked) until it crashes. Then you know the last mod you added conflicts with one of the others you are using.

Adding to what is stated above by Garnier .

The game is programmed so that you can have an unlimited amount of Mods Installed, but you don’t have to have all of them active at the same time.

So, let’s say that there are three mods that you like better than the other mods.

First, start with only those three activated, and see if the game runs.

If, the game runs – then just keep those active, and proceed with the other Mods one at a time until you find out which one is conflicting with the first three.

Basically, the game will only load the Mods that are active, and ignore the ones that are not active.
