Understanding Scourge of War Gettysburg Multiplayer, and why you are important, and a valuable commander no matter how good or bad you are.

Hi.

Well, for the last two days of playing Battleground Europe, and having fun dieing, and killing I was struck while crawling in amongst the bramble, and trees of this game with a sense of loss, and lack of troop/squad/army cohesion.

I know the full differences between SOW, and FPS shooters such as Battleground Europe, and both are very different. What I am trying to say is while playing BGE my living or dieing doesn't effect the overall scope of the mission. So if I died, joe blow down the road is not effected by me screwing up or not.

Now with Scourge of War Gettysburg multiplayer, everything you do effects the entire battlefield, and effects all other players especially other MP commanders, and the loss of one commander or failure can spell doom for the other corp commanders...in the end, you are IMPORTANT while you are playing SOWgb multiplayer. Without you the war/battle can be lost.

I know NSD (maybe a little) knows I fully support them, and I have to say that for you folks who play SOWgb mp all the time are blessed with something that only comes along every few years, and Scourge of War Gettysburg is by far superior a product than any other I have ever played in MP.

You count when you play SOWgb MP, and what you do determines it's outcome. I have never come across any other MP game that DEMANDS you to take care of each other on the battlefield, and support each others efforts... Man again I say that this is the best money I have ever spent on a game.

Scourge of War Gettysburg is not just a game, it's a state of mind/character, and behavior.
