I am aware that this mod is for generics. The flag that I posted IS the generic Pennsylvania flag, maybe that wasn't clear. Basically, that flag that I posted is what all Pennsylvania regiments carried. As far as I know, the plain blue flag with just the state seal on it, which we've been using in game for years, was never carried by any Pennsylvania troops in the Civil War. I was saying that for all PA regiments, the State Color resembling what I posted should be the generic flag for PA regiments, just like the 20th Maine flag is the generic for Maine regiments and so forth. I posted that particular regiment's State Color because it gives a good idea of what every PA unit carried. Sorry for the confusion.

If your proposed flag replaced the present PA regimental flag, then it would appear that the PA regiments were carrying two US National flags, but slightly different with the small PA crest in the upper left corner. Is this what you are suggesting?

Yes, that's exactly right. This is a quote from the official Pennsylvania site of the state's repository of Civil War flags:

Infantry...units were issued three different types of flags – the State color...and sometimes a National or Regimental color. The State color consisted of thirteen alternating red and white stripes with the Pennsylvania state seal in the canton. The National color also had thirteen red and white stripes, as well as a star pattern in the canton...The Regimental color displayed a Federal eagle centered on a blue background.

Pennsylvania was unusual in having it's state-unique flag being very similar to the national colors. But, that's the way it was.

OK, your persistence paid off. Got it up and waving. Note, this is only an option for ya Pennsylvania folks as I will keep this turbo mod as is. For me the large regimental PA crest is much more appealing next to the US National. If folks see otherwise, the option is here for their choosing...Enjoy.

Unzip into Graphics/Flags, overwrite present file:
