I'm playing a sandbox SP game in the Wilderness and haven't come across any sign of the enemy yet. Then I heard a crackling noise and found its source to be a constantly reappearing fireball:
It appears as a white ball, grows and turns red and disappears. Anyone know what this is??!

I found this too, on the Salem Church map up in the NW corner near the bend of the river that loops south. I thought I was having a religious experience and a booming voice was going to issue forth from the blazing undergrowth.
