Game Crash with Large Armies

The game runs perfectly smooth on any map with corp sized combat. But when I try to play a game with a full army, it just crashes after a few seconds. This is frustrating as you can imagine. (I'm trying to play the Antietam full army battles.)

Any help is appreciated!

Are you running any Mods? There may be a conflict there among the files. If you are, undo all of them, then re-activate them one by one as you play. Just a thought.

How do I find my log?

And yes, I'm using a lot of mods. I'll undo them one by one, see what happens.

Edit: I'll get into the game. Have enough time to turn the screen to face the troops. A few seconds after that, it crashes.

The log file is found in the Work folder: SOWGB.log

Attach it to your post, it will also show us your mods to analyze potential issues.

I'm assuming a saved game is not required, as this happens anytime you create this? What exactly are you running, full army sandbox on the Ant map?

There is an around 1.8GB mem limit on 32 bit programs on windows. You might check your TaskMgr and see if that's what you are hitting. We are close to it ourselves and with many mods you might just be going over.

Any battle that uses a full sized army I have this issue. Sandbox, Additional battles.. etc. Here's the log I found when I tried to play Antietam: None buy heroes are left:

As you can see, the problem is likely with conflicting mods dealing with flagflair in the csv's.

Yep, HtS is correct. I think my mod Gettysburg_3Days_in_7Hours might be causing this error. :blush: Just checked and the gfx file is outdated and calling the FlagFlair from a place it doesn't exist anymore.

Please disable this mod and try again, see if this error appears in the log if you crash. I'll probably just discontinue this mod and continue the DRF version contained in Bugles and Flags--it's just too complex (or tedious) for me to keep up with the different versions as the game changes formats. Besides, the DRF version is now more FPS friendly than using the stock flags since I've consolidated the texture sheets.

Disabled the Gettysburg mod 3 days/7 hours thing and it worked like a charm. Everything is working now. Thanks guys haha, btw.. On the mini map, it doesn't show all of my units? Plus the fact it's not really letting me move my men where I want them. Is that normal?
