The Union scored a second consecutive victory in Kentucky defeating the Rebels under Braxton Bragg and Kirby Smith in a seesaw battle near Harrodsburg. Casualties on both sides were severe – and oddly identical – though the Federals were the clear masters of the battlefield at the end of the day:

We had 19 players and 1 observer for the climactic battle that the Commonwealth for the Union. Players included 2 CinC’s; 8 Infantry division major generals; 1 General of Artillery (Confederate); and 8 colonels leading independent brigades.
