Download Problems with MediaFire

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Don't worry Mike. Not your problem.

I did what you said but just ended up back at the same file. Even 7-zip Manager didn't recognize it as a viable file.

I will wait.

I'm sorry your having a problem. Odd thing is I downloaded the exact same file with the Free Download Manager, and it worked fine for me.

I hope you can get a copy of the mod, if not I'll upload it to my server for you to grab. It will work far better than that damn Mediafire.

Let me know, and I'll start uploading it for you.

Hi Mike

I think it's my wretched connection. Free Download Manager and MediaFire simply can't cope with my slow download rate, the several hours of downloading and the numerous 'resumes'. Only needs one blip to rubbish the whole file.

I hope they can transfer the download to nsd. That seems to handle resumes OK. Probably much less trafficked than MediaFire.

I am changing my satellite service provider but I will be using the existing one until end of April as I have already paid in advance.

In the meantime I will use the old mods for single player.

I use to use Download Manager with my Dial up connection. The free download manager is designed so you can stop, and resume as often as you need too so I don't think that is the problem.

In the default settings for FDM, it will auto name your files which is something I really do think you should change.

Go into your settings, and setup a default download directory of your choosing.

When you start a download, do what I is shown in the picture.

The FDM is made for people with slow, and very buggy internet connections.
