First Post, a couple of questions...

Post by alexjack »

Hello. As the title says,my first post here.I was a TC2 player back in the day then sort of drifted away from the American Civil War but lately I can feel my interest returning so I started looking on the internet for a game to get back into and luckily found these. I'd appreciate a little advice. My initial thought was to buy Scourge of War Gettysburg and then later Chancellorsville but I read somewhere on the forums that, while both games played well, the graphics in the Chancellorsville game were better so now I'm thinking to go for the 'better' game first.Any thoughts? I love adding good mods to games so the other thing I'm thinking about is that are mods made for the earlier Gettysburg game compatible with the Chamcellorsville one? Thanks in advance. :)

Dude,

First, welcome back. Second, don't buy anything....yet. Get the Demo and play the hell out of it. THEN buy it. Buy BOTH of them, eventually. You will not be sorry AND you will be screwed for life. GAME FREAKIN' ON!

I recommend getting Gettysburg first.

Main reason is that my mod doesn't appear to work with Chancellorsville standalone yet. I'm going to try to fix that, but haven't yet.

The map graphics in Gettysburg have been updated so they're no longer lower resolution than Chancellorsville.
Play Scourge of War Multiplayer! www.sowmp.com
Also try the singleplayer carryover campaign
