This is John's first SoW map that he produced learning the ropes of map making. Fitting with the Whiskey persona, the terrain is LUSH and some roads lead to nowhere, :huh: so, there may be some performance tipsies :S and road errors, :whistle: but hopefully no crashes...it runs and tested out OK, and it's free.

Big Whiskey is a fictional locale, obviously, but it's gotta be located somewhere in the badlands of East Texas...John's homeland.

Unzip and copy to the Mods folder:

Just had a chance to play the map. It reminds me of some places I know in North Florida and Georgia. Theres a place in Dowling park that one spot on the map could have been modeled by.

I agree RDBoles, it is a beautiful map. The different tree colors and types of trees are an incredible piece of work.

The terrain is also unbelievable.

I am so lucky that I was able to test some of the maps that John was creating in the time that he was on the team and with every map update he had, it made you shake your head as you moved around the map, say to yourself, 'Man, this guy is really good' !!

I am sure that John knows that RebBugler is doing a great job to keep John's spirit here on the message boards and also when you fire up a game using his maps... Thanks RebBugler !!

Well, the Brandy Station map is a real pleasure to play on so I wouldn't be overly concerned about that. Although you'll have your hands full topping his Elkhorn Tavern map.

Thanks MTG. Although I consider Brandy Station to be my baby, it wasn't all me. John Bonin did the trees and grass sprites, Jolly did the sky, and LouiRaider did the 3D buildings. Brandy was one of John's favorite maps and I was honored to receive high praise from him... Just wish he could have been around for the release..
