Medieval: Total War, and Shogun: Total War Windows 7/32-64bit Resolution Fix [Video & Download Included]

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

As I was playing a MOD for Empire Total War, It dawned on me that after Medieval Totalwar, the series really went down hill. What I mean is, I always enjoyed the feeling like I was playing chess while moving the pieces into position, and as soon as they released Rome: Total, and adopted the new eye candy tabletop, I lost interest in the series. I only bought them to see what else they have added to make it better from the last, and I came to the decision to stop buying the total war series simply because there is nothing new.

I just installed Medieval: Total war, and since I am running Windows 7/64 bit, I soon found out that I could not change my video resolutions, they were stuck at 800x600, and Battlemap at 640x480 which really annoyed me, so off I went to find a fix. One fix was just outrageous, and I would never mess around with my boot settings for any game, then finally I came across a real fix. Now I am able to change my resolutions, and it's very easy to do. There are two ways to get the file...

Just extract the ddraw.dll into your game directory, and that is it.

#1: Download from the forum post I found: http://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthrea ... n-problems
#2: Download the file from my Website: http://justallinone.com/files/TWMedieva ... on_Fix.zip
