I can't play in full screen? Help!

Post by Jimmi Stender »

Hi,

my old graphics card died on me, so I decided to upgrade to a nVidia GeForce GTX 780, which runs like a charm.

I can play games such as Skyrim, Theif and Far Cry 3 on max settings, with no problems.

After I installed my new card, I did a re-install of windows pn my PC. Then I had to re-download SOW Gettysburg.

The game installed fine, but when I open the game, it only takes up the center of my screen:

The game played just fine before the old card died on me. The "Fullscreen" option is tagged on, and I have tried to play around with different in-game resolutions, but it dosen't help.

I also used to play the good old game "Heroes of Might and Magic 3", which also ran perfectly fine before, but now suffers from the same issue:

Any ideas? :(

What is the native resolution of your monitor, and what resolution is the game set at?

You want them to be the same. I have a 2560x1440 monitor and run the game in not "full-screen" mode at 2560x1440. Because the resolution is the same, it fills the whole screen. But because I have "full-screen" mode turned off, I can alt-tab in and out of the game instantly which is great.

Exactly the same issue I had with a new card. Both game and screen resolution have to match or you get issues.
