Last Chance for Victory

Post by KG_Soldier »

A few of us GCM guys have been playing "Last Chance for Victory" on Vassal.

It's not terribly complicated and it's a lot of fun.

Best of all. . . it's free.

Rules: http://www.gamersarchive.net/thegamers/archive/rss.htm (Version 2.0 Line of Battle Series).

Vassal: http://www.vassalengine.org/

Check it out.

Stefan,

This evening, 16:30 Texas time, I will lead Hooker's boys into the cornfield at Antietam.

We're going to use the "None but Heroes" module (Antietam)http://www.vassalengine.org/wiki/Module:None_But_Heroes

Here is an AAR from a couple of first time players using the actual board game: http://yockbosboardgames.blogspot.com/2 ... field.html

It has some nice pictures of the battle.

MJP will be leading the Confederate defense. He is a long-time ASl Vassal player (ranked 16 in the world ladder) and a veteran board gamer and GCM player.

It will be a struggle for me to not have my rear handed to me, for sure.

I will try to take a bunch of screen shots and do an AAR for our battle, but it may take me a while to get it done -- Lifus Interruptus may take its toll.

If you download Vassal and the "None But Heroes" mod and the Line of Battle rules, you'll be more than welcome to come to the GCM TS server and sync up and watch the battle -- that's the best way to learn too.

Regards,

kg little mac, aka KG_Soldier
