American Rev. War mod anywhere??

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

WOW !!!!...

and...does anyone know if other Mods would work with this one as well? (like B&F, Textured MiniMaps, GCM roadfixes, any of the other toolbars, etc...or...would any of them even be needed?)

Amazing work - looks lovely.

John - I doubt it. One of the things I like about the complete remake mods is you leave you other things behind with the ACW period and step into something fresh and unknown. It adds to the different period feel.
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.

Hi all

Thanks for your comments. Appreciate that you like it so far.As I have said in previous posts this is just a start andstill a work in progress. Still it can give some insight as to how far the AWI can be taken. There are some limitations at present but if it proves popular enough then it would be possible to produce the AWI in all its splendour with favorite regiments represented. Remember also that the regiments were usually quite small so it would be possible to play it in a 1 to 1 setting giving it a better appearance. Still have work to do especially with artillery but will update with any new material.

remus,
Those shots look great! I wrote some OOBs for the TC2M AWI mod and I am following this mod with great interest.

Hi Tacloban

Yes I remember them and I played them quite a bit back then too. I am pretty sure I have them in the dark recesses of my computer but would still be in the TC2M format. I grabbed a copy of the one you posted of Brandywine and will use that as the basis for the next OOB. Once I get this one up and running then I will have a better understanding of working with some of the new formats and can focus more time on sprite conversions
