Re: Napoleonic Mod basic requirements ??
If your screen res is 1280 x 768 then you must use the KSNapModSmall because, as I said, your vertical resolution (the second value) is less than 1024.
Troops may be moving but the map is very large (2.5mi or 5mi across) so a unit walking at 3mph won't seem to move for a long time on the minimap. Also in a sandbox game some troops may not move for a long time if the AI is issuing orders.
Try hitting the "+" key 3 times, this speeds the game up. Minimap activity might become obvious then. Hit "-" 3 times to bring the speed down to normal time compression again.
The NapMod minimap isn't anything arcane or special, it's not modded in any way except its appearance. It'll be doing exactly the same job as in the base game. If the troops are not moving on the minimap then they are not moving in the 3D battlespace. Nothing weird is going on here.

well, something weird is going on (smile)
- set 2nd screen res >1024 and yes, now I can see the whole LG mini-map (but, my menus/etc are very very small now as well)
- BUT...as before...when I click on "map" none of the troops are moving (even after "speeding up" the game, and waiting 10-15) BECAUSE clicking on map freezes the clock (so time is standing still)...when playing a normal SOW this has never happened; clocks runs as usual, troops march around the map, etc...any idea why the clock stops?
- and, if I hit "N" to bring up that map (shows where troops "will be"), troops don't move either (but they're not supposed to, so that's as it should be)....but I see couriers still racing all around the map???

Yes, a higher screen resolution will make the toolbar seem smaller. If its too small then go back to a lower res and use the Small mod.
Ah, yep, sorry I forgot that clicking the minimap freezes play. This is a feature of the KS mod. I'd forgotten as I always play with a blank map. You can disable that feature but you'd need to ask the creator of that feature of the mod how to do it, Marching Thru Georgia (MTG), as I don't know!
Napoleonic and ACW commanders didn't have animated maps so thats why we disabled it. Its a mod that tries to put realism uppermost.
Yes, same applies to the 'command map' (the N key).

thanks...i'll try and contact him...
Re: Napoleonic Mod basic requirements ??
I spoke too soon; not "all set"...I deleted the unnecessary files (per your PM this morning) following your images, and the game crashed twice early (playing a sandbox with just Rd2War, KSNapMaps, and the new Blenheim Map mod on)...so, I went back and added back in the "extra files" (like I had before), and the game crashed again after about 20-25 min)(same 3 mods on, in order)...
no idea why...I've attached the log file in case you (or anyone) can pinpoint what went wrong...damn, this is maddening, but I feel like i'm pretty close (and have wasted so much time/effort now why stop!!!)...
thanks...

I can't see any errors at all in that logfile!
Just curious why you want the Blenheim battlefields, they still have quite an ACW look to them.

I dont see any errors in the attachment, but you might be running out of memory.
So, how much memory do you have installed?

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!
Re: Napoleonic Mod basic requirements ??

Re: Napoleonic Mod basic requirements ??
The only error you've got there is a cavalry commander who is probably in command of an infantry unit. That shouldn't crash the game though. Are you still using the Blenheim maps? It doesn't look like you are.
Which Nap OOB are you using and which map?
