I am hoping someone can explain the battledef.ini file a bit more than what is given in the file itself. I'm trying to modify the game to be a bit more historically accurate and it seems the battledef.ini file plays a big role in determining the outcome of firefights. I'm having trouble following the equation explanation and I have no idea how the kill time variables affect play. I changed the numbers around in the kill time variables but they don't seem to have much affect.
Also, is moral recovery tied to the battledef file?
Thanks in advance!

Re: battledef.ini
I changed mine from the default 10 to 40 and noticed that it changes the casualty-rate and also changes the use of ammo.I have no idea how the kill time variables affect play. I changed the numbers around in the kill time variables but they don't seem to have much affect.

It appears to make the ammunition last a lot longer during fire-fights.
Did you place the file in the Logistics folder of a Mod after your edits?

The only true logic is that, there is no true logic!

Re: battledef.ini
Yes it's in the logistics folder.
I played around with the first value, maxkilltime, and noticed a slowdown also.
I changed the maxkilltimepenalty to several different values and didn't notice any change.
I tried some extreme values and still didn't notice any change.
Maybe maxkilltimepenalty doesnt do anything.
