Day \ Night - Question?

Post by Davinci »

Question - Has the game improved any concerning the day and night cycles, or is 2200 hours still in the same sky conditions?

Thanks,

davinci

Not really. We have it on the to-do list but the campaign game and the GUI conversion ate big chunks out of the available dev time.

Thanks, Jim , Yes the campaign and the GUI are big improvements so no big deal with the day and night cycles, just a small request.

Question - Will the game be Moddable on the release day, or will the 1st Patch have to come out and then the SDK ?

Basically, to put that another way, can I start converting the game into a Civil-War-Game on Day One, or will I have to wait for the SDK...and the..... you know..... Manual!

Thanks,

The game will be moddable from day 1, but there may be a little delay before we get out the first SDK. Good question though, and I'll make sure it doesn't go under the radar.

There is a built-in, mandatory, 24 hour 'no-modding' period where you have to enjoy the game as is - if you don't, your hard drive will self-destruct!

I want to get to Wellington's Peninsular Campaign. Fortified cities and attacking breeches! Spanish and Portuguese armies. Badajoz, Talavera, Salamanca and so on.

War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.

Understandable, I'm sure that there are a lot of Team-Members that could use a rest.

I was tying to time it so that I had a new Computer by the time that the game was released, but if the SDK comes out later, well that probably gives me a few months before getting one.
